AUTHORITIES have issued a “zero tolerance” warning to all revellers in the build-up to New Year.
This comes as Bay security and emergency services say so far, it has been one of the quietest and safest festive seasons in recent years.
Police in the Bay have also been credited for their contribution to the relatively peaceful period.
The service said yesterday that more than 3 500 suspected criminals had been arrested since the beginning of the month.
Meanwhile, municipal spokesman Mthubanzi Mniki said: “We don’t have all the data yet, but I am confident that this has been a very good festive season as far as safety and security and the number of incidents is concerned.
