Protesters vow to ‘close everything down’ in action over housing grievances
Frustrated residents want RDP homes and have vowed further protests today.
Angry township residents have threatened to bring Walmer to a complete standstill today as protests for RDP houses heat up.
Yesterday, residents of Area Q blocked off 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th avenues, Main Road and Heugh Road with burning tyres and debris, bringing traffic to a halt.
