One of the most popular YouTube video watched by South African this week, highlights the potential danger social media has on the youth of today.
In the video posted by Coby Persin, 21, he showcases exactly how easy it is for paedophiles to connect with children using a social media platform such as Facebook.
He creates a fake Facebook profile posing as a 15-year-old boy and friend-requests three girls between the age of 12-14 (with their parents permission) and started chatting to them.
As it turns out it didn’t take much for Persin to set the groundwork to meet up with the girls! He simply sent them text messages for three to four days before they agreed to meet up at their homes or somewhere nearby.
