THE 32-year-old BMW driver who was allegedly involved in the fatal head-on collision with former Miss Port Elizabeth Bianca-Anne Harper Agherdien appeared briefly in the Paterson Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The case was postponed to October 12.

The driver, who was one of four occupants of the car when it was involved in the collision with Harper Agherdien’s Toyota Corolla on the N2 between Nanaga and Grahamstown in November last year, has not yet pleaded, but is expected to do so during his next appearance in court.

Harper Agherdien’s father, Denzyl Harper, said he and other family members had attended yesterday’s court session.

Harper expressed the hope for a speedy trial so that the family could move towards closure around his daughter’s death.
