Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo‚ best known or his character Tau‚ has returned to the set of the popular SABC 1 soapie ahead of his on-screen return next month.

Talking to TMG Entertainment on Thursday‚ Generations publicist Gaaratwe Mokheti confirmed that Rapulana returned to the show’s set on Wednesday for the first time since his accident several months ago.

Talking about his first day back on the job‚ Gaaratwe says that the cast and crew were happy to have the actor back.

“The entire cast and crew were happy to have him back‚” Gaaratwe said. “It (the accident) was a frightening experience that has shaken us all and had us very worried. But everyone was happy and relieved to have him back.”

Gaaratwe says that the show is planning to ease Tau back into show slowly ahead of his on-screen return‚ but he has already made his mark.

“We are taking it slowly. We don’t want to rush him into it but he’s an absolute professional and got on with his scenes as if he had never left. It was very much business as usual‚” Gaaratwe said.

It was earlier reported that despite still healing and being on pain medication‚ the actor wanted to return to work sooner rather than later.

Rapulana was rushed to hospital in a critical condition in February after being involved in an accident following an alleged hijacking on the N14 near Diepsloot‚ Johannesburg that left three people dead.

He spoke out for the first time since the incident on Tuesday thanking fans for their prayers and support.
