CHILDREN pelted police vehicles with stones as violence erupted for the second day in Port Elizabeth’s northern areas today (28/07/15).
The children, mainly aged between 10 to 15, also used burning branches, burning tyres, rocks and rubbish to block Stanford Road – the main thoroughfare into the city’s northern areas.
Police eventually resorted to using teargas and firing rubber bullets to disperse the children. – Lee-Anne Butler
