Adler claims she was not part of farm deal
AGERMAN woman accused of murdering the man she allegedly defrauded, turned on her former lover yesterday, claiming she was at all times under the impression he had the necessary funds to buy the dead man’s Thornhill farm.
Kristina Adler, 38, said her then common law husband and co-accused, Jens Leunberg, 36, gave the impression that he was flush with cash.
He spoilt her with trips abroad and even had her racehorse flown to South Africa from Germany.
Adler’s version was put to the Port Elizabeth High Court by her lawyer, Advocate Elsabet Theron.
Adler and Leunberg are accused of trying to defraud Claus and Tanja Schroeder through the sale of their farm, Owvanhuk.
