Police are searching for 16-month old Abukhanyisile Sitebisa
Stutterheim police have appealed for help to find a young child who was allegedly abandoned by his grandmother in the bushes near Stutterheim.
Abukhanyisile Sitebisa, who is 16 months old, was allegedly abandoned by the 42-year-old woman because his mother was not looking after him.
Police spokeswoman Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said the boy was abandoned at Mbulelo Location at about 9am on Sunday.
The woman was arrested and is due to appear in the Stutterheim Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (30/06/16) on a charge of child abandonment.
