Angry Nelson Mandela Bay residents gave mayor Danny Jordaan until midday today to respond to their grievances following early morning protests.
At about 9am, protesters closed the old Missionvale Road with burning tyres over service delivery in the metro.
Uitenhage Road was also targeted by protesters early this morning but by 8am the situation was calm and police are still patrolling the area.
Yesterday Uitenhage Road was blocked off with burning tyres and police had to use rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
The protesters stated that they were giving Jordaan until midday today to respond.
