Western Cape police have arrested a man after finding almost R1m worth of tik in his vehicle.
Members of the Western Cape Flying Squad pulled the vehicle over on the N1 freeway in Goodwood near Cape Town on Tuesday afternoon after receiving information that it was transporting illegal drugs.
“After searching the suspect’s vehicle‚ they found three one-kilogram bags of tik in the vehicle. The value is estimated at R900‚000‚” said Western Cape police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrè Traut.
“The suspect‚ a 43-year-old male‚ was arrested and detained. He is due in court on a charge of dealing in drugs once he has been charged‚” Lt Col Traut added.
