CELEBRITIES and women tweeps rallied behind blogger and celebrity photographer Lesego “Thickleeyonce” Legabane after she was cyber-bullied over her looks.
With the handle @Thickleeyonce on Twitter, Legabane said she had been called rhino, jumping castle, elephant and even Shrek.
“The list is endless, every day I have to read such buls**t about myself,” she tweeted.
On Thursday, a photo of her and a model was put up on Twitter after they were in studio shooting for nine hours. The model asked Legabane whether it was okay if she posted a picture of them together on Instagram. Legabane agreed. On October 9, #Nomakeup was the trending topic in South Africa, with 5FM radio presenter Poppy Ntshongwana and other women posting selfies of themselves without makeup, hashtags #Nomakeupchallenge, #StopCyberBullying and #UnmustingForLeeyonce.
Legabane’s lens has captured people like hiphop artist Cassper Nyovest, TV/radio presenter Pearl Modiadie, songstress Nandi Ngoma and actress Amanda Dupont.
