REPRESENTATIVES from the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Department of Justice and other government departments will join forces on Friday to educate Kwazakhele residents about the services they provide.
The initiative, which will include members of the SA Police Service, Correctional Services, Legal Aid Board, Social Development, Home Affairs and SA Social Security Agency, aims to highlight the scourge of violence against women and children, linking it to the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.
The event will be held in the Daku Community Hall in Kwazakhele at 10am on Friday.
NPA regional spokesman Tsepo Ndwalaza said officials would explain the roles of their various departments in the fight against crime in their communities.
Once the speakers have addressed the residents, a question and answer session will follow.
