THE wife of a DA councillor in Nelson Mandela Bay was arrested yesterday for theft totalling almost R900 000.
Yvette Greyling, 43, was released on bail of R1 000 after appearing briefly in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court.
Her husband Francois, a DA ward councillor in Despatch, was not present in court.
He said yesterday that his wife had been “hung out to dry” and had been duped by her former colleagues and business partners.
Greyling is accused of stealing R880 150 while working as an estate agent at Just Letting Uitenhage between 2013 and last year.
