TREVOR VAUGHAN

Anaesthetist suffers heart attack

PROMINENT Port Elizabeth anaesthetist, sports fanatic and family man Trevor Vaughan died of a heart attack on Monday morning following a paddling race. The former Eastern Province diver, who was also a surfer, fisherman and waterpolo player, was just 53.

He had been taking part in the Investec St Francis Series.

He died just a day before his wife Sherral-Lee’s birthday.

Shocked friends and family said his death came as a massive blow as he was a “healthy soul who lived life to the full”.

Vaughan, who had worked as an anaesthetist at both Greenacres and St George’s hospitals, went to Grey Primary School before moving on to Grey High.
