The Humansdorp K9 unit together with police arrested a 47-year-old man at his house in Blombos Street, Jeffreys Bay, after 37 dagga trees, approximately 1,5m.tall, were found in his garden.
Police said the raid came after a tip-off that the suspect was growing dagga plants with the intention of selling them.
By this evening the value was still undetermined.
The man was arrested for cultivation of dagga and will appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
