To celebrate its birthday, national airline FlySafair has offered all South Africans flight tickets for just of R1.
The airline said 30 000 tickets for flights on all its routes were released.
The low cost carrier took to Twitter this morning to announce the promotion that will only be valid for today (25/08/2105).

Due to the overwhelming response, FlySafair’s official website is currently not accessible.
However, the airline posted an update on its Facebook page to say that “Our site hasn’t crashed. The response has been overwhelming and our servers are being kept very busy. Please be patient and try again.”
Shortly after 11am on Tuesday morning, the airline announced that they had already sold 5000 tickets.
