Outspoken Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema lost his temper on Tuesday as he told an East Rand police cluster commander he is “useless”.
Malema went to the Tembisa police station in an attempt to fast track the investigation into the murders of two EFF members who were killed during an election campaign earlier this year.
“What type of cluster commander are you? Clueless about what people must do… You are useless wena‚ you must be fired.
“This is not your police station‚ you don’t own any police station?” said Malema.
The altercation came as cluster commander Leshabane accused the EFF members of marching to the police station without applying for a march.
This infuriated Malema and the EFF entourage.
“People are dying here and you tell us we are marching‚ what is marching?
“We are being attacked here [and] you don’t do anything. You come here and tell us in the comfort of your shirt and tell us we must apply when we are being killed?” Malema shouted at Leshabane.
The cluster commander ordered Malema to tell his members to move from the police station as they blocked the entrance. Malema then stood up and said: “Let me tell you‚ they won’t leave and there’s nothing you can do.”
