NELSON Mandela Bay mayor Danny Jordaan kept his word and shared a cup of hot tea with a KwaFord resident yesterday.
Jordaan vowed on Sunday to restore electricity to Vuyiswa December’s house after her lights went out last month.
Jordaan sat down with the 78-year-old yesterday for tea and biscuits.
KwaFord, in New Brighton, has been plagued with power problems since 1996.
Many houses have lost electricity due to the rampant rate of illegal connections.
The residents wrote to Jordaan last month highlighting their electricity woes.
